tried using acronis true image via cloud, what a nightmare that was. uninstalled, looks like a local backup and some software for $30 is gonna be the move for now until i get rsync/restic setup, then a cheap partitioned 2tb drive in a caddy, partitioned 3 ways for two internal drives and scratch.

got to find a way to replace an image with a compressed .webp version via the api after a blog post because these .jpg sizes are massive and are killing my pagespeed scores because i have images as soon as i load my blog. i know people mostly have “text” blogs but this is 2025 and i want multimedia!

i need to seriously beef up the homelab, also vlans, route10 gear, ethernet, iot network seperation. i think i’m going to head in the proxmox direction over time in 2026, just want to sort the local network out first and get the NAS online for local backups and we will be good to go. taco tuesday!
