wow, claude is bang on the money about my home country, i’m going super granular with this for the last fifty years on planet earth but it’s got a pretty good gen-x timeline to pull from, it was doing it in chunks but i’m gonna much deeper than what i have no, coming together, blog soon!

. ..all but live pretty much in the CLI these days, i still read web stuff but i just prefer to type and be in the command line, most of my little ai tools i’ve put together work in a zsh terminal/shell and i don’t know why but it’s just, lightweight, bit of python and claude code, chefs kiss.

in the swell of the analog cycle

well it looks like people are overwhelmed again and are returning back to analog again.

this is not a bad thing, i remember the days of the record store and getting depeche mode see-thru imports for all of my wages on a saturday morning – playing that to death on an average record player.

those are some of my formative years.

well that and listening to mixtapes in my little green mini on a jammed in tapedeck with the middle of the backseat cut out with a big phat jbl speaker kicking it, yep, these are all the stupid things you do as a teenager with car access.

seriously thou, i’m here for it, nothing like a good set of seperates, some good speakers and the mental time out having a collection, cleaning it all and chilling down with incense and a coffee on a sunday morning.

the “cycle” happens a lot i’ve seen in my 50+ years on earth especially with music, tracks and samples you know from the original get recycled and put into a different tempo track to a new audience that feel like they are experiencing it for the first time.

i feel incredibly lucky to have been born a gen-x and capricorn at that to see the peaks and troughs of this in pretty much everything in life – there is a time to be excited and there is a time to power down and keep running on impulse power.

we are about to enter a down cycle, offline, outside, analog more life.

i’m here for that, it’s nostalgia for me, to be transported back to a place that you got comfy with.

with the ai white noise and the “money as we know it” leaving left right and center to be replaced with digital and tokens it’s going to be a bumpy ride for many, retreating into analog and safe and local makes sense.

while i love many things about the organization of digital items there is something to be sent for physically made items that you have emotional attachment too.

the experience, the gathering, the hoarding, the dust and re-emergent recall of the memories and experiences of places and people, i was blessed to have an incredible support network of “friends” in my early years.

if there is one film for me that brings that all together collectively it is the inflection point of the 80’s when our analog worlds started to get digital in “electric dreams” really interesting history in that film, incredible music, bunch of cash put in by richard branson i believe too.

watch it, you’ll get it, it’s cheesy but it makes perfect sense today.

remember when we actually paid money to go to conferences and shit? fk me, glad i don’t do that anymore, i mean i like the people and the afterparties but man i’m so glad for content on a schedule that works and that’s snack-able now. the connections with “brands” was ephemeral anyway, onwards!

another tuesday, days rolling into weeks, christmas before you know it, i hope we get to do this next part of our journey before the year closes out, lotta moving parts at the moment. but that’s ok, just flex with the energy, got some discount running shoes the other day, stoked about it.

honestly i’m gonna be so much happier when everything is passkeys or zero trust kinda logins, sms needs to go away fast, as i get older i need the complications to go away and make these things easier to deal with, agents to take over when steps are achieved or processes to run when i forget, sheesh

when did good pizza get so expensive? i realise that food in general in america is expensive compared to other places but damn, $20+ for a full pizza is a little wild to just get on a whim, still, it was a damn good grandma pizza. i’m still dreaming about it, must have been good.

it’s a special day today 10/10 and it’s been a year, just like that, as fast as that, like we stepped through a time tunnel together, it’s been a decade, but we are still here for each other, you gotta find someone like that in life to experience it together, the world is certainly made for two.

updated ugc50 with NINE areas that i did a sora2 deepdive on – 8bit/cartoon, abstract art, action pacing, films reimagined, motivation, united states, ugc influencer, thoughts, united grimdom (whoops, kingdom i mean, right??) – yeah, either way, i think it’s a good range for ugc clients to see

actually enjoying when ai vibecoded slop goes wrong and i kinda know why, it’s like i have this junior accountability partner and i can riff with what i think happened. like this morning it did not respect my “gap” of time feature of the scheduler because our connectivity process was iffy. so cool.

it’s important to have third spaces where you can take time out of your day, grab a coffee, snack and just walk, around other humans, touch grass/granite/surfaces just to rebalance and reset, for instance right now i’m getting up to fit a new cabin air filter in the car, should take ten minutes :)

my tech demands are starting to get outta sync, i’ve been wanting to upgrade the homelab part of the local network for a while now and cracks are starting to show, bottlenecks, local inference needed and drive space for rendering images and video with audio to come soon too. fast net coming soon!

very happy to have the niche themes (for people with carrd pro accounts) pushed to a brand new domain name, deploycard.com – alongside ugc50.com i’ll be able to keep responding and pushing out gigs to fiverr and utilize some of these new models for continued 50+ ugc work which is booming!

so got a backup solution in place for sora2 running under replicate, $1.20 a video, ouchy, i’m sure that’s gonna come down thou, but got my credits and everything setup, gonna put together a bunch of gigs for for fiverr now for this very thing, keep working on my content tool to bind it together!

those restrictions came in fast, glad i got a bunch of video made before that happened seeing as a video is basically around a $1 cost now. i can only create thirty a day now and the rolling window kinda sucks so i’ve gotta get some credits and proper planning for the work related ones!

things are moving fast over here now, connection upgrades inbound (yay) work starting to trickle in, exploring new areas, just gotta go with the flow and embrace all the moments, gotta get organized and start going minimal in other areas again thou, collecting too much stuff. embracing change.

this is unhinged i’ve been waiting all my life to be, sora2 is great for just coming up with some concepts and deploying them, updated my ugc50.com site and got some great projects coming in down the pipe, hire me on fiverr if you are looking for a hybrid solution of natural and ai! :)

we went to see stardew valley symphony today in newark, nj. it’s a game that me and my wife put ten years into, made virtually millions and bonded over it, 3000+ millions apart — it’s amazing how pixels brings people together, remembering a lot about our interactions while listening! so good, a must

now that i’m able to work i’m bringing back and refreshing all my additional gig worker areas, put a domain on ugc50.com yesterday and i’m going through and tidying that up, making it responsive seo and all that, will need an astro refresh for pSEO but will do for now, next is the carrd site

I finally got on the new sora2 and I have to admit it’s pretty darn terrifying, this is something new in the hands of the many I just don’t know where it’s going to take us — for now I’m just using it as another augmented audience redirect and to live out old memories of the before the burn times.

the price of rent elsewhere is much better than here, problem is the amount of people that voted a way we don’t vibe with increased, so it’s either move there and live on the beach or keep slinging pizza, bagel and martial arts around here for a short while. my therapy is gonna need therapy. lulz.

found this interesting that a service called recurrentauto.com has this really nice travel range visualization for an ev owners, we are absolutely gorging on the remixing of data in this day and age – they really do make so many intrigue datapoints. i’m a sucker for them, guess they know that

nasty bug in my scheduler, hopefully fixed now, added some locking, also you can use cursor keys now to go through “blips” on sett.ee and click image for modal full size, i really wanna get back to working on moving render code to prod and sidebar so be nicer/friendly – also slop feed soon!

here we go into the breach my friends. october just showed up like that, september flew, end of the year and mad dash christmas shopping will be next, until then, fire up the gpus and let’s render something different. trying to find my feet again, spent few hours debugging that lag, such is life.

just a headsup bartender6 on macOS Tahoe is a mess. remove it, had my WindowServer lagging like a mofo.
